hey, what does ratattoule mean? there's a mouse movie out with the name.. i wonder what the etimology is... nice looking dishes :)

The word Ratatouille comes from "touiller," which means to toss food. Ratatouille originated in the area around present day Nice. It was, originally, a poor farmer's dish, prepared in the summer with fresh summer vegetables.
Got this from wikipedia, but in my family it is known as roasted veggies,lols, thats it..no fancy french name...We eat it seasoned with herbs and spices OR with bashamel sauce baked over it and topped with parmesean(stinky) cheese.
LOL at your description "mouse movie"... ha ha ha ha thats hilarious Buj.... thanks for the compliments on the dishes...Im the type who thinks a foods taste is MUCH more important than its looks, so if it looks good thats an extra bonus!
