My First Meme---What does "Meme" mean!?!

Fantastic 4

Ive been tagged for my first Meme by http://arabicbites.blogspot.com/ which are Zainab and Meedo who make VERY tasty Middle Eastern/Khaleeji Food!

4 places Ive lived: USA(down south), Saudi Arabia(Al Khobar), Qatar(doha,duh!), UAE(abu dhabi,home!)

4 jobs Ive had: Kindergarden Teacher, Receptionist, being my mothers maid! AND being my fathers maid! heh heh...life!

4 places Ive holidayed: Amsterdam(LOVE THAT PLACE), Cyprus, Thailand, USA

4 favorite foods: Spaghetti and Meatballs(Cajun style), Chicken and Dumplings(grandma style), A BIG JUICY grilled hamburger with loads of cheese!(dad's style), Madroobah(a UAE Dish that I owe a few kilos too!)

4 places I would rather be: In my own villa BBQ'ing with a huge garden full of trees and flowers surrounding me, secluded in a mountain farm house surrounded by towering date trees and a bubbly river close by to swim in, In Makkah performing Hajj(but I am not able to right now), Driving fast down a empty desert highway with my husband in his sports car with the top down. (in case you didn't notice.....i need to get out of this apartment! LOL)

4 people I would like to tag: If they have not been tagged already and IF they would like to do this Meme .....Id love to tag:

hello prettybaker :)

Thank you very much for the compliments :)

It would be lovley for you to visit the gulf countries if you had the chance to "Inshallah"(If God Wills it to be). Mashallah, We have beautiful landscapes and nature, just like your country too!

Madroobah is a wheat dish made with fish or chicken and spices and vegetables. We pound the wheat once cooked into a thick mixed consistency, and it is mashed all together with a meat and eggplants, tomatoes, bell peppers,etc... then it is spread onto a flat dish and drizzled with homemade samen(oil)...It is VERY filling and healthy, yet, it does have the fattening effect if you eat to much of it regularly! like my mistake some months ago! heh heh..

You are welcome to add my Food Blog to your list!

As-salaamu'alaykum wa Rahmatu Llahi wa Barakatuhu my very dear sister Sultana,

All so interesting. Masha'Allah.

lol@being your fathers maid.. aww shucks. May Allah reward you for it. Ameen.

How was Thailand?? I would like to go one day.. but it's like a far fetched dream at the moment.

You can actually narrow it down to four favourite foods?? wow..
Madroobah sounds interesting.. what is it like??

Haha.. in your own villa bbq'ing, sounds wonderful. Your a real meat-person! :D *refer to favourite foods*

Humm Sultana, I've thought about this meme for a few days..and I can't answer most of them. I've lived in two places only, had two main jobs, my most interesting place I holidayed was Makkah (for Umrah)..but that's not really a holiday! I can't narrow food to 4 favourites, and I really don't know where I'd rather be (which is a good thing.. *I think*) But jazak'Allah for the tag.. much appreciated :)

Wa'alaykum as-salaam
Love Farhana

farhana: Wa alaikum salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu Sis :)

ameen....

lol im not that interesting, but i am confusing.heh heh..

I loved Thailand...I went to Phuket for 2 weeks in 1998 i think it was...And it was like no other place ive ever been. The smell of the air was like fresh
tropical, sea, mountain, rainforest air! Mashallah it was beautiful and the Thai people are always smiling and happy....

Everything was so colorful and the "vibe" relaxingly laid back. The private beach i stayed on was like a serioulsy peaceful haven...It was a mountain sticking out of the sea in the middle of a sea of mountains! It had a clean soft sanded beach and the water was crystal clear and cool...SubhnAllah....

You know i love all food, lol.. But these 4 foods i grew up eating so i guess the reason they are favorites has some sentimental memory value...madrooba is a mashed wheat dish with meat or fish shredded inside with bell peppers,eggplants,onions,etc...If youd like this recipe i can get it to you...BUT i tend to make it with mashed rice and not wheat...

I SOOOO am a meat person! I dont know why! But I have to have a meat present in one of my daily meals or it doesnt feel complete.
Seriously i hate living in an apartment, its like caging an eagle and not allowing it to fly..SubhnAllah, i need nature and that freedom to explore the wilderness, its in my blood...My whole family are outdoors people...Id be right in my element if you threw me in the middle of the mountains or forest!

Mashallah only 2 places! That can be a good thing...believe me, because, i have lived in 5 different countries since i was 10 yrs old...its not always fun like people make you think...
Mashallah you went for Umrah :) Thats great...Thats the best place to go! Maybe you didnt realize it but you answered this Meme just perfect, since it was to know more about you, and that is what you did!

Mashallah you seems to be a very balanced and calm person ...We all have our differences and commen qualities, its what makes us unique individuals...i love that :)

love,sultana :)
