Diet Diary

My Diet Diary over the last few days

Kilos lost-2!
Total hours spent in Gym-8
Number of times my toes went dumb from the Ski machine-4
Time spent "running" on the treadmill in one session-5 minutes
Time spent on the treadmill in one session- 2o-30 minutes
Amount of time it took before i thought about giving up- 3 minutes
Total amount of time since the Diet started- 7 days

Over this week I have eaten is various Soups and Veggie salad, Orange juice,Water,Coffee,Yellow cheese and cornflakes, and halloumi with bell peppers. THAT'S IT...

I can honestly say I have given "my all" in the Gym this week...I'm doing treadmill,2 different "ski machines", bicycle, crunches with and w/out machines help, 3 different leg machines, arm and chest weights, and leg exercises w/out machine. I spend 2 hours a day in the gym 5 days a week...I have lost 2 kilos in 7 days... I know its probably water, but hey, its 2 kilos!

--------------------------------------------------------
If anyone else out there is going through the same thing as me, all i can say is:

-When you think you cant give more to an exercise, add one more minute to your exercise.

-PUSH YOURSELF.

-Look at your weight loss weekly, not monthly. Set a 5 kilos weekly weight loss MAX work your butt off for that 5 kilo goal!

As-salaamu'alaykum wa Rahmatu Llahi wa Barakatuhu my dearest Sultana,

Ooh.. wonderful, masha'Allah. Congratulations.. it sounds like your progress is going well. Keep up the excellent work.

May Allah make it easy for you, and give you good health. Ameen.

Reminds me of my 'gym rat' days.. lovely. I traded it all in for nafl salaat (and other sunnah's, like eating). I know.. it sounds weird.. but it's the best thing I've ever done in my life, alhumduliLlah.

If I can be of any help, please let me know. I've studied Fitness and Nutrition (yuppers.. one more field I've studied and not put to use..haha).. and wasted lots of time learning about bodybuilding.

Look forward to hearing more about the diet, insha'Allah.

Wa'alaykum as-salaam
Love Farhana

happy cook: from the looks of your profile picture i would NOT say that about you! You look great and yes, very happy :) running twice a week is great for maintaining your weight but i would NEVER loose any weight by that alone, i have to try so hard at the gym just to shift my weight a little! Thanks so much for your comments and for visiting me today!

umm zacharia: I belive that! No pain, no gain is definitley the sentence to describe it! I figure, if i dont get it off now, it will be very hard as i get older to get it off, and i would love to be the size i have always wanted to be, inshallah with this workout and diet i can do it!

Farhana: Wa alaikum salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu Sis,

Barak Allahi Feeki :) Inshallah i can do it!

Al hamdulilah that you found something that works for you. Mashallah....

Sultana I just found your blog by random and I love it especially since I'm on a diet and I been trying to find ways to eat healthy but keep the kind of traditional foods I'm used to. I had been giving some things a try and guess what I have already been doing that warm water and lemon and honey for years I learned from my Indian friend.

Anyway seems like we have the same type husband mine has been helping me to plan my workouts and weightloss and we check my weight weekly. He is a runner and soccer player. Anyway, I'm trying some of your recipes this week inshallah be well and mabrouk to u for the baby and new one. May Allah give them long life.
