No Food Today!

WHAT! Can it really be!

Well, the answer is yes and no...

Yes its true, no food cooked by me or posted today.

but,

No, its not true, becasue I did actually eat (duh!) and it was DELICIOUS(mashallah).

I was invited for Iftar at a friends home, and we had the most delicious harees, chicken biriyani, samboosa and fruit juice, owwww, and never to forget, EVER, the kataif pastries we had...

Oh my, Oh my, I think I ate about 5000 calories today! Let me tell you....It was WELL worth it honey!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, my dear new friend for the amazing Ftoor and for being such a perfect hostess!.....

oh, welcome back Mrs Sultana.

first of all my starving is only metaphorical.. plus i'm in the UK which isn't as bad as the UAE in terms of over-eating.. however obesity has become a serious problem in the UK with people like Jamie Oliver now trying to combat it by introducing proper food in schools rather than junk food.. and parents are not happy... it's a mad world!

surely healthy people are in the interest of all countries and especially all parents.

Hi Buj, oh yes i know its metaphorical....I was just being difficult...
So your in Uk, mashallah...Ramadan has a very different "air" there...I did Ramadan in Manchester for 3 years and its very different from UAE i must say!

I did see that show he did on School lunches and laughed hard at the way some of the children reacted, and some of the parents too...My goodness you would think that parents would be overjoyed at someone wanted to feed thier children homemade healthy food, but no! they even taught thier children how to disrespect this by going on strike, lols...

What bothered me was the amount of food that these children threw in the garbage just to show how hardheaded they are to not agree with jamie olivers idea. It was sickening..

I dont know about this new generation, my generation would have been hit over the head or slapped or worse if we acted like these kids!
